Changes to Just a Pinch!

June 6, 2016

pexels-photo-105009

Hi friends! As you may have noticed, Just a Pinch got a little makeover over the weekend (procrastination at its finest 🙂 ) I’ve been thinking for a while about what I hope to get out of this space, and as I continue to grow professionally in the field of nutrition, I want to spend less time sharing my day-to-day activities and focus on what really matters to me: clearing up the media-driven nutrition noise and focusing on sharing evidenced-based, cutting-edge science surrounding nutrition.

I feel more confident (and competent) in the field of nutrition than I ever have (thank you, UW!) and eventually, I want to start offering nutrition services. I don’t want to go into private practice until later in my career, but I do want to share and practice what I love. On the homepage, I’ve included a list of services that I will soon offer (recipe development, nutritional consulting, and freelance writing.) I hope to spend more time this summer thinking about and developing pages to describe what value I can offer.

Moving forward, I have a lot of nutrition-related topics that I want to address (full fat vs. non-fat dairy, juice cleanses, vitamin D supplementation, etc.) I will still post my occasional “If we were having coffee…” posts, but Just a Pinch is growing up (!) and the more personal side of my blog will be less present here, and more present on instagram, twitter, and snapchat (ricecakes2012)!

I’m wrapping up finals this week and have a limited number of days off until we start back at it again. I am so thankful for the opportunity to study full-time in a city that I love. I am also eternally grateful to all my readers and your constant support. Onward!
