Hi friends! I’m popping in to share a few photos from my hike up Little Si over the weekend. It was a 4.7 mile roundtrip, moderate hike with gorgeous views of the surrounding area! We were a little nervous about the purported difficulty level, but this was actually a fairly mild hike compared to some of the others I’ve done. (← P.S. I definitely need to update this page!) It took us about 3 hours total, and it was only an hour drive from Seattle.
The highlight of the whole weekend was welcoming Allison and Jason to Seattle! They just moved from Minneapolis last week, and I suggested that we try a small hike on their inaugural weekend. We also made a pit stop at Top Pot for donuts and coffee. You know, just a future dietitian doing my job 🙂 ↑ And yes, I brought my coffee cup on the trail…
The beginning 1/2 mile and last 1/2 mile are steeper than the rest of the hike, but for the most part, it’s a gradual ascent. We totally feel ready for the big kahuna now: Mt. Si! 🙂 ← Adding that to the list!
The view at the top of the hike was amazing (per usual!) It was really gorgeous to see the snow-covered mountains in the distance as well.
Plus, we totally lucked out with the weather! It was a gorgeous, sunny, and rain-less day. A Seattleite’s dream 🙂 I kept raving about the sun, which subsequently scared Allison and Jason into thinking that the sun never comes out. (Shhhhh…don’t tell them that it’s the truth!)
↑ Doesn’t this just look like something out of a Dr. Seuss book?
It was great to take a few hours out of my Saturday to #optoutside and revisit with my friends! It’s back to the grind for a lot of this week (and let’s be honest, the next three weeks) but before I know it, winter quarter will be over!
Until next time, friends!
