If we were having coffee, we’d likely be at one of these places. Seattle summer has yet to show his/her face…it’s been cool, cloudy, and rainy for the past few weeks and I really just want to see some sun!
The summer is panning out to be much busier than originally anticipated. I started summer with only a few professional commitments but in a turn of random events, I am now working more hours than anticipated and diving headfirst into thesis work! The good news is that I will likely be done with my thesis by December (which means I will graduate on time!) but the less-than-ideal news it that my summer is not going to be relaxing. I promised my program director that I would take a solid 3 weeks off over winter break to recharge before our internships because it’s very likely that I’ll be burned out come December. Thank goodness for coffee! 😀
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…
My family is moving to Boise, ID because of this exciting news! My mom is such an inspiration and I am so proud of her. She works harder than anyone I know and absolutely deserves this opportunity.
I’m in the process of redesigning our basement! After our old roommate moved out, a lot of our furniture disappeared and it seemed like a good opportunity to improve the space. I’ve spent countless hours at Ikea and on Craigslist trying to piece together the room on a tight budget. It’s far from done (and I dream about doing an entire gallery wall one day), but it’s coming along!
I am running another half marathon in about a month, and my training is not exactly going well. I can’t wait to see Vancouver, but I need to start seriously training.
My best friends and I have our 5th annual reunion trip coming up in a little over two weeks! We’re hosting it in Seattle this year since almost 50% of us are living here now. I’ve known these girls for most of my life and I look forward to spending quality time with them every year. Previous year trips included: Year 1: Las Vegas, Year 2: Boston, Year 3: New York, and Year 4: San Francisco/Napa Valley/Sonoma.
I miss student life and realized I only have one more quarter before it’s over! Our coursework will be over after December, so I’m going to try to enjoy the flexible schedule as much as I can…since I doubt I will ever be a student again!
- Any fun trips planned this summer?
- Please tell me that the weather is nicer where you are.
- Do you prefer a flexible schedule or something more structured?
